Suspected break in at Goldcraft Jewellers

Goldcraft Jewellers on the Clock Tower roundabout appears to have been targeted by thieves.

The lower glass panel on the front door has been shattered and a member of staff could be seen this morning brushing shattered glass from the floor.

She, understandably, declined to speak to Nub News at this early stage.

The shutters are up, meaning it is impossible to know if anything has been stolen - or perhaps how much.

This comes within three weeks of Penarth Mobile Repair and Vape, the 89 Plassey Street electronics repair shop, being burgled.

In the early hours of 15 January, three men clad in motorcycle helmets and gloves broke the padlock on the shop's shutters before using a crowbar to prise open the front door.

The thieves then grabbed and made off with a considerable loot of mobile phones and electronic cigarettes before returning for the shop's supply of e-scooters.

Nub News has approached South Wales Police for more information.
