Stol Coffee needs new base to avoid closure

Stol Coffee - and its pedalling, brewing and baking founder Piotr Skoczylas - is looking for a new space to operate from.

Since starting the business during lockdown, Piotr has been making use of a resident's garage in which he brews his coffee.

He and his vibrant blue bike have become prominent features of the town, and his community-oriented attitude seems to be spreading throughout Penarth. His mantra, "meaningful conversations", is known to all who drink his coffee and eat his cookies.

But as of February, his current workspace will become unavailable. Piotr says if he is not able to find a new space from which to operate, his business will not survive.

"It's a little bit stressful", he tells Nub News. "I'm looking for somewhere really small (probably 4x4 metres) with water and electrics where I can park my bike and brew and eventually bake hopefully.

"I don't want it for free. I think my budget will be around £150, bills included. A lot of people have offered, but every time so far something has sprung up," he added.

"If I don't find anywhere by February, it's going to be game over."

Contact Piotr on 07477114009 if you are interested.
