A tight bend on Cardiff Road, linking Dinas Powys to Barry, has had its speed limit changed overnight to the surprise of local residents.

The road, which has been known as a National Speed Limit zone, has been marked down to a 40.

Many residents have greeted the adjustment positively as the bend is known for accidents and speeding issues.

However, some were annoyed at a lack of warning from the council on the sudden change.
