Residents criticise road resurfacing

Residents have criticised subcontractors for the "incomplete and shabby" resurfacing of various streets near Cornerswell Road.

Photographs submitted to Nub News by local Brian Jones reveal seemingly unfinished tarmacing work on Baroness Place, with chipped and jagged divots being reported on Baron Road, Dyserth Road and Countess Place as well.

Uneven surfaces, jagged edges and the partial covering of some manhole covers have given rise to fears for the safety of road users.

Mr Jones tells Nub News made he contact with the subcontractors, later commenting:

"When questioned about the crude nature of the job, the contractors indicated that the surface would take about three months bed in. Time will tell!"

Nub News is awaiting a comment from the Vale of Glamorgan Council.
