Air ambulance called to Belle Vue Park for incident involving just one car

The air ambulance that landed in Belle Vue Park this morning (10 September) was called for a person involved in a traffic-related accident on the junction between Belle Vue Terrace and Albert Road, the Welsh Ambulance Service can confirm.

The service was called at approximately 10.31 AM for an incident reportedly involving just one car.

A number of fire officers also arrived at the scene. A spokeswoman for South Wales Fire and Rescue commented: "At approximately 11.04 AM on Thursday, September 10 2020 we received reports of a one vehicle road traffic collision on Albert Road, Penarth.

"Crews from Penarth and Ely station attended the scene."

The patient was taken to University Hospital of Wales where they are receiving treatment. We cannot yet confirm the precise cause of the accident.
