Remembrance Sunday in Penarth

A CHANGE has been announced to the traditional starting point for Penarth's Remembrance Parade, which will take place on Sunday, 13 November.

In previous years the parade has started at the Station but this year participants will assemble at Rectory Road at 10am.

The change of starting point is to minimise road closures and disruption in Penarth on the day. The parade will pass through Windsor Terrace, Stanwell Road and Victoria Square en-route to the Garden of Remembrance and All Saints Church.

After the church service which will include the Last Post, observance of two minutes of silence, Reveille and wreath-laying the parade will then move to conclude at the Ex-Servicemen's Club on Windsor Road.

There will also be a short service in the town on Windsor Road at 11am on Friday, 11 November.
