Changes to waste collection in Penarth

VALE of Glamorgan Council is to introduce changes to its waste collection system.

From Monday, 17 April residents will need to sort recyclable items into separate containers if they don't already do this.

A council statement says: "If you live in Penarth, Dinas Powys, Llandough, Sully or the surrounding areas we will deliver your new containers to your before Friday, 14 April, and we'll also give you a leaflet that will show you the type of household items you should put in each of your containers.

"These changes do not apply if you live in an apartment or flat with communal recycling and waste bins."
