This election marks the first in Welsh political history in which 16- and 17-year-olds were able to vote.

But how would students even younger than these vote if given the opportunity?

Thanks to a poll conducted by Project Vote, we can develop a pretty good idea.

They asked almost 10,000 11- to 15-year-olds across Wales how they would vote if they could. This means one in 20 young people in Wales took part.

The Cardiff South and Penarth constituency garnered some of the most responses at 513.

Here's how they voted:

Nasir Adam – Plaid Cymru – 17%

Paul Campbell – UKIP – 4%

Matt Friend – Propel – 5%

Vaughan Gething – Labour – 36%

Alan Golding – Freedom Alliance – 5%

Angus Hawkins – Gwlad – 3%

Lisa Peregrine – Abolish Welsh Assembly Party – 3%

Alan Pick – Reform UK – 2%

David Rolfe – Independent – 1%

Leighton Rowlands – Conservatives – 6%

Helen Westhead – Green Party – 9%

Alex Wilson – Liberal Democrats – 10%
