Police appeal after enforcement officer attack in Penarth

South Wales Police are appealing for information after a Vale council enforcement officer was attacked in Penarth on Friday, August 5. 

Vale council says the assault happened on Salop Street during a patrol.  

"A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: "South Wales Police was called on Friday, August 5 at around 09:30 following reports of an assault on an enforcement officer in Penarth. 

"The incident happened on Salop Street around 09:00 on Friday morning. Enquiries are ongoing into the incident. 

"If you saw this incident, or have information which would help our investigation, please contact us by calling 101 or here quoting reference 2200262307."
