Councillor Anne Asbrey presented a petition of more than 1,000 names calling for improvements to be made in respect of the Ash Path, Dinas Powys from the rear of Tesco to Sully Road.

Handing over the petition to Vale of Glamorgan Council mayor Cllr Julie Aviet Cllr Asbrey said: "Lights are required to improve the safety of pedestrians as a wider part of a wider campaign of 'walk in a safer environment'.

The petition was organised by community councillor Malcolm Phillips.
