Remembrance Sunday will take place tomorrow morning at Station approach before making its way around Penarth.
The whole community has got involved in showing their support for the Armed Forces community, the British and Commonwealth veterans, the civilian servicemen and women involved in the two World Wars and later conflicts.
Shops have decorated their windows with poppies and many local businesses have sponsored the parade and service that will be taking place.
The pier pavilion has been decorated beautifully by Stanwell school and Albert Road primary which can be viewed by the public.
The decorations and memory boards will be there until 13 November.

Yesterday also marked the RAFA's usual meeting at the Cenotaph.
Each year the RAFA would meet at the Cenotaph for Battle of Britain Sunday, but it has been five years since there were enough members mobile enough to attend.
So this year the Penarth Veterans Committee and some families attended to pay our respects in advance of Sunday at the Cenotaph in Alexandra Park Penarth.
The Chairs of the Veterans committee Simon Shirley and the Serviceman's Club Paul Paul E Galsworthy were also in attendance.
The RBL Paul Michael Todd and RAFA Paul James standards were unfurled, marched on and a minutes silence was held accompanied by the last post played by the REV Simon Jennings.
The organisers were especially pleased to provide an opportunity for local families of the fallen who travel to other events each year to have a opportunity to remember at home.
