Penarth Yacht Club has taken the initiative and has completed a virtual training course to learn more about helping to prevent the spread of coronavirus when they are able to reopen.

A Nub News reader got in touch with us after seeing the information and remarking on the amazing effort by a small members club.

On Facebook, they said: ''The Club Secretary, General Manager, Head Chef along with bar/waiting staff are taking Covid-19 very seriously, the staff have done a course on how to prevent the spread in our workspace for when we open again to the members so that we can keep ourselves and you safe.

''We miss you all and are looking forward to seeing you again.''

The Yacht Club has made a lot of effort to look after their members throughout the pandemic with staff offering their support to help anyone out who might need collections and deliveries of supplies.

They have also been involved in donating crisps and snacks to key workers and emergency service staff.
