Penarth Yacht Club's Annual Regatta

Penarth Yacht Club held their annual sailing regatta over the weekend and welcomed members and non-members alike to join in with the activities and celebrations.

The races went on despite the light wind on Saturday and sailors competed in different categories for the top places.

After racing up a storm, the contestants joined the rest of the party for a hearty hog roast and evening entertainment.

On Sunday, the racers returned for more but unfortunately a rather windless day put hopes of a good race day to rest.

The day was still a success with the prize giving ceremony taking place back in the yacht club.

With sunshine and beautiful views of Penarth beach and Esplanade, the event was a great success.
