This week's weather will see scattered showers and colder temperatures in Penarth

Today will see a mixture of sunshine and scattered blustery showers. Showers may be heavy in places, with the odd rumble of thunder. Overall a cooler day with highs of 15°C.

Tonight will see a mix of clear skies and the odd shower at first. Through the early hours, cloud will begin to build from the southwest, and showers will become more frequent.

Tomorrow morning, it will turn mostly cloudy, with spells of showery, heavy rain moving in throughout the day. There may be some brief brighter interludes between rain and areas of cloud.

Looking towards the rest of the week, it will be staying cooler and fresher as low pressure continues to dominate.

Wednesday will have sunshine, but also a few sharp scattered showers.

Thursday looks to turn cloudy and windy, with blustery spells of rain moving in throughout the day. Staying windy on Friday, with a chance of longer and more persistent spells of rain.
