Wales Interactive in Penarth is celebrating after winning Digital Business of the Year at the Wales Business Awards 2022 last night (June 9).

The publisher and developer of video games and interactive movies picked up the award at the ceremony, hosted by Chambers Wales South East, South West and Mid, held at St Fagans National Museum of History in Cardiff.

Judges praised Wales Interactive as an "innovative, exciting and a true digital company" and called it a "leading global company, flying the flag for Wales on the digital stage."

Dr David Banner, CEO and co-founder of Wales Interactive, said: "We are chuffed to receive the award for Digital Business of the Year. Any recognition for the work we do is greatly appreciated so this award is really special to us."

Now in its 19th year, the Wales Business Awards give SME businesses across the country the chance to compete for some notable Welsh business accolades.

Over 180 entries from businesses from across Wales were whittled down to 10 winners across the 10 categories, plus an overall Wales Business of the Year, which went to Penderyn Distillery in Rhondda Cynon Taf.
