Transport for Wales has amended their journey frequency which means more trains will travel to and from Penarth from today.

However, this is followed by a reminder that their services remain for essential journeys and key workers.

They said: ''Check your journey plans for travel from 6 July onwards as our current amended timetables are changing with more services in peak times, extra capacity and changes to train times to support social distancing.

"The updated timetable will be available on our journey planner and on our rail app from 6 July

"Remember our services are still only for key workers and essential journeys.

"Most routes will see a reduction in services after 8 pm and changes to service times.

"As a guide, this is an overview of weekday service level provision by line of route."

Penarth will now receive two services an hour and Cogan will see three services an hour.
