Penarth Town Council has set the dates for some of this year's major events. These are detailed below.

VE day & Pier Celebrations - Fri 8th until Sat 10th May:

Penarth Town Council will be hosting a civic reception at West House to celebrate 75 years since VE day as well as a special visit from the Pride of Bristol reserve Navy ship to mark the pier's 125th anniversary.

Penarth's Downhill Derby - Sat 11th July:

The councils very own DIY soapbox race returns for its 10th year. Registration now open, find out more here

Penarth Summer Festival - Sat 11th until Sun 12th July:

A weekend of live entertainment, fireworks, water-sports, food, drink and more. All taking place at the Penarth beachfront.

Picnic Penarth - Sat 12th until Sun 13th September:

A foodie festival showcasing all the best street food vendors and local producers. With music and entertainment for all the family.

Christmas Lights Switch-On - Sun 15th of November:

Starting off the festive season this year's Christmas light switch-on will include live music, street food, rides and Father Christmas.
