Penarth Healthcare Partnership has announced that it will now be a requirement for patients and visitors to wear face masks in the surgery after health updates from England and Scotland.

They said "There is much debate in the news with regards face coverings/masks. In Scotland, it is now compulsory. In England, it will be as of next week and Wales will probably adopt the same policy.

"In the practice, all staff that are face to face with patients wear face masks and we encourage all patients to do so.

"We are now going to make it mandatory that all patients entering the building must wear a face-covering/mask.

"Our face masks protect you, your face covering protects us. Thank you."

A B Snells and Sons, Dragons Discounts, Boots and the local pharmacies have masks available to purchase in Penarth town.
