The Sunday Times Best School Guides UK was released this week and a Penarth based independent school has made it into the rankings.

Westbourne School was placed 68th out of the top 150 independent schools in the UK.

It was also recognised in the top 10 independent schools in Wales, being ranked at 5th position.

They achieved 96.7% A*-B at A-Level and 59.2% A*/A/9/8/7 at GCSE's.

It is the only school in the Vale of Glamorgan to make it into the top 150 and the only independent school in the Vale to make it into the top 10 in Wales.
