Penarth Restaurant Will be Offering Delivery of Their Set Menu on Mother's Day During Coronavirus

Pickford's Restaraunt on Penarth's Esplanade will be offering a takeaway service on Mothering Sunday of their set meal to help those that won't be able to dine-out this year due to coronavirus.

The Pickford family have only recently started up the new business and have faced difficulties, like all local businesses, during the virus outbreak.

Whilst staying open they wanted to offer a service to those that are affected.

They said: ''For those that cannot join us on Sunday or do not want to risk leaving their home we are offering a takeaway service, for those that can't pick up if you are local to Pickford's we can deliver to you.

''We will need you to pre-order and pay over the phone or call in by Friday evening, so we can order the food in.''

The menu is below:

Starters:

•Poached pear and Perl Las with rocket and walnuts

•Prawn cocktail, homemade bread

•chicken liver pate, chutney, salad and toast

Mains:

•Slow roasted beef

•Roast leg of lamb

•Roasted butternut wellington (veg) (Vg)

- All served with cauliflower cheese, red cabbage, carrot and swede mash, green beans, parsnips, roast potatoes, gravy, Yorkshire pudding and pork and cranberry stuffing.

Desserts:
  • Sticky toffee pudding, toffee sauce and custard
  • Cheeseboard: Perl las, Perl wen and Tintern, chutney, biscuits
  • Chocolate fudge cake, chocolate sauce and custard.

Adult 1 course £10 child £6

Adult 2 course £12.50 child £7

Adult 3 course £15 child £8
