Penarth Resident Launches Facebook Gallery for Residents to Share Isolation Artwork

A local resident has built on the rainbows in windows idea and has started a Facebook group to encourage Penarth residents of all ages to share their artwork whilst in self-isolation and social distancing.

Karen Martin, the admin of the online art gallery, said: ''I loved the idea of the rainbows in windows but at a time where many are having to isolate or are only going out briefly, I thought it would be great for people to have a space to share their creations, whatever the media, whatever their age.''

The group is open to all ages but will follow some rules:

• Only photos of the art (please don't include the kids, dogs, goldfish etc).

• Please include whatever media you like (drawing, painting, digital art, sculpture, (clay, pasta shapes, fimo etc).

• Tell us the age of the artist (unless you don't want to disclose that) and a brief bit about the work.

• No other photos, post shares or memes.

You can access the gallery by clicking here and joining the private group.

Most importantly, getting creative is a great idea to keep yourself and your family active and engaged whilst indoors.
