Cefn Mably pub in Penarth will open its doors again next week after a month-long refurbishment.

The pub will be revitalised with exposed woodwork and a new sage green colour scheme, and the front entrance will also undergo a makeover with a fresh coat of paint.

Six new LCD TVs will be installed showing Sky Sports and BT Sport and a new pool table, darts board, skittles area and jukebox will also be added.

Natasha Rees, the licensee of Cefn Mably, said "I can't wait for the refurbishment to be complete and for the people of Penarth to be welcomed back to the Cefn Mably with open arms.

"The pub has needed freshening up for a number of years, so I'm very excited to be at the forefront of this transformation of a once neighbourhood-loved local pub.

"In the future, we also plan to introduce food to the pub, work on the B&B rooms on-site to bring them up to scratch for 2022, as well as giving the garden area a revamp so our customers can enjoy the summer sun."

Natasha, who was previously at St Fagan's Castle in Penarth town centre, has operated pubs locally for the past 15 years.

The exact reopening date is yet to be confirmed.
