A £1 million Lotto prize from a missing Vale ticket has now been claimed.

The ticket was purchased in the county on April 16 and Camelot UK Lotteries Limited, the operator of The National Lottery, received a claim today (May 20) with a ticket matching the Bonus Ball and five main numbers.

As with all major prizes, the claim will now go through the process of validation. If all goes well, the prize will then be paid at an appointment with one of Camelot's Winners' Advisers.

Once the ticket has been validated and paid, the ticketholder will then decide whether to go public and share their news.

Andy Carter, Camelot's senior winners' advisor at The National Lottery, said: "What amazing news for this lucky ticketholder who has claimed their prize. We will now focus on supporting the ticketholder through the process."

There will be no information on whether it is an individual or syndicate winner, or where the ticket was purchased unless the ticketholder decides to go public.
