A plant sale at All Saints Church Lesser Hall on Saturday, June 11 raised £1,400 to maintain the T Hafan hospice gardens.
Jams, chutneys and cakes were also for sale at the event as well as herbs and trinkets from local craftspeople.
Monica Dennis, one of the organisers and a volunteer gardener at T Hafan, told Penarth Nub News: "We were overwhelmed with the support we received and it was amazing!
"A huge thank you to everyone who came to support us and those who gave donations, to the amazing volunteer gardeners who gave their time to help make it such a success, and to yourselves [Penarth Nub News] for promoting our event."
