Penarth projects that aim to boost biodiversity are welcome to apply for grants worth up to £5,000.

Grants are available from the Vale Local Nature Partnership (LNP) to purchase materials and equipment to help support nature wildlife project work in the Vale.

If an application is successful, a grant will not be distributed as cash - all materials and equipment will be purchased on the applicant's behalf.

Vale council has created a portfolio of supporting documents which include an example application form, survey guides, project ideas and a suggested supplier list.

Applications must be sent by Friday, August 19. Each application will be reviewed by members of Vale's LNP Steering Group.
