Penarth Conservative Club welcomed the community for a magical start to the festive season on Sunday 16th November, hosting its much-anticipated Christmas Light Switch-On event.

The day was filled with family-friendly activities, festive treats, and heart-warming community spirit.

Festivities began with a bustling Christmas Craft Fair, featuring a variety of local makers and unique seasonal gifts.

Visitors then enjoyed delicious hot dogs, turkey rolls, and the Club's famous mulled wine and cider, which proved as popular as ever.

Excitement grew in the afternoon as Santa Claus made a special visit, accompanied by his cheerful elves. Children had the chance to meet Santa, share their Christmas wishes, and enjoy the festive magic he brought with him.

As evening approached, crowds gathered outside the Club for the highlight of the event.

At 6:30pm, young Rowan proudly took to the stage and switched on the Christmas lights, officially illuminating Penarth for the season. The moment was met with cheers, smiles, and a true sense of community joy.

The celebration continued into the night, with live music from the Midnight Hour Band, who closed the event with an energetic and crowd-pleasing performance.
