Penarth businesses, The Crepe Escape and The Media Angel have come together to help thank local NHS staff.

The Media Angel was so pleased to be able to sponsor The Crepe Escape's treat boxes as a small way to say 'Thank You' to the incredible NHS staff in their local area.

The goody-filled boxes were delivered to the amazing staff at Llandough Hospital, Cardiff Royal Infirmary and Noah's Ark Children's Hospital, (hopefully) helping to bring some sweetness to their day.

Director of Crepe Escape, Alison Louise Jones, said "As a business, we felt it was so important for us to find some way to thank the amazing selfless NHS frontline workers for everything they are doing during the COVID 19 pandemic.

"They were working in such difficult conditions and in heart-breaking circumstances whilst putting themselves at risk. It isn't much but a treat box or an afternoon tea just to make their day a little better just felt like something small we could do to help.

"We delivered hundreds of boxes to Royal Gwent, Llandough, Royal Glamorgan, Barry Hospital and CRI COVID wards. With the wonderful support from the Angels at Media Angels, we were able to deliver rainbow cupcakes to the angels in the Children's hospital in the Heath as well as the treat boxes to Llandough COVID wards and Cardiff Royal infirmary and the District nurses in Penarth."

Founder and Managing Director of media planning and buying agency, The Media Angel, Alison Debono, added, "It was a privilege to be able to sponsor the treat boxes and help in saying thank you to the amazing NHS staff who work in our local area. We're grateful to Alison and The Crepe Escape team for letting us be a part of their treat box scheme!"
