Some businesses in Penarth have taken the step to close for the day because of Storm Eunice.

The Crêpe Escape has decided to close, and Pickfords Galley & Bar on The Esplanade have also taken the same decision.

Huw Pickford, owner of Pickfords Gallery & Bar, told Nub News: "I'm looking at the seafront now and there's not one single person here.

"There were lots of people at 08:00 this morning, but with the rain and the wind getting heavier, we decided to just lock the doors."
