After a popular National Theatre live stream event was cancelled at the Paget Rooms due to bad weather damaging equipment, Nub News contacted the council to find out how long the disruption was going to last.

A spokesperson for Penarth Town Council said: ''The brackets holding the satellite dish have been snapped by high winds and everything is knocked out of alignment.

''Unfortunately because of the way that National Theatre Live tests its broadcasts we never really know if it'll work until the day before which is quite stressful

''It should be an easy fix by the repair team but not something that can be fixed ahead of tomorrow.

''This will not affect the Rugby Screenings on Saturday (different system).''

The next NT Live show will be 21st May – The Welkin.
