Odours not from treatment works says water company

DWR Cymru / Welsh Water has replied to a query relating to the odours so many people experienced earlier this month across Dinas Powys.
"Thank you for your email. I'm sorry to read that you've received reports of odours which is believed to be coming from our Cog Moors Wastewater Treatment Works (WwTW). I hope that I can explain our position.
"Our team have carried out a thorough investigation at our WwTW and they've been unable to find any issues, which may be causing the odours.
"However, we will continue to monitor the situation going forward. It would be helpful if there are any odours detected in the future, that they are reported to our 24-hour emergency call centre on 0800 085 3968 so we can investigate at the time they occur."
Plaid Councillor Chris Franks said: " I don't know if people will be satisfied with this response.
"However we need to use the emergency number if this reoccurs".
