Campaign to bring back 93 bus service

A campaign including a petition has been launched to try and restore bus services to a part of Penarth.
The 'bring back our 93 Poets Bus' campaign has been launched by local man Paul Fenton, who says: "The 93 service previously ran a six day a week service (8am – 6pm), providing reliable transport for work, school, healthcare and social activities
"The 93 bus still operates along Stanwell Road, where there are already two other services (92 & 94), instead of servicing Grove Terrace, Wordsworth Avenue and Hastings Place
The current number 7 service fails to meet the needs of Poets Corner residents, leaving many isolated and unable to travel. It operates during off peak hours (10am to 4pm) and takes almost double the time to reach Cardiff, taking a convoluted route
"Together we can make a difference, let's stand up for our community and restore the transport services we rely on."
Mr Fenton is inviting local people to sign a petition at an event on Saturday, 1 March in the Tennyson Road shopping area.
A poster campaign has also been launched to restore the service.
Mr Fenton would also like supporters to contact him , saying: "If you've been affected by the bus change, especially if you're retired, elderly, vulnerable or have mobility issues, email us at: [email protected].
