Not Socks Again, a gift shop in the centre of Penarth, is still open amidst the coronavirus pandemic and they are doing a Mother's Day special to lift spirits a little.

They have said that customers spending £5 or more will get a free 'Best Mum' heart hanger with their purchase.

Jack, the owner of Not Socks Again said: ''Penarth's businesses have been touched by the support and good wishes from our customers, many of whom are friends.

''For small businesses with premises such as ours, the assistance indicated could well be a literal lifeline.

''Meanwhile, and for as long as it is safe and permitted for us to do so, we will be here. Please don't be afraid to ring or email any small business to ask about deliveries or items, am sure all will be pleased to help.

''It is a difficult and genuinely unprecedented environment, and every visit is valued. We can only hope that the virus goes quickly and that everyone is safe and can come back to see us and enjoy all that the high street has to offer soon.''
