Residents are invited to visit Penarth's award-winning independent bookshop Griffin Books as they welcome author Jane Fraser to the Turner Gallery.

She will be celebrating the publication of her second short fiction collection, Connective Tissue.

The book aims to define the sometimes indefinable and to give voice to those struggling to make sense of what life throws at them. The stories are tragic and comi-tragic, but all reveal the strength and complexity of the human spirit.

Jane Fraser is an award-winning fiction writer, based in the Gower peninsula, south Wales. Her debut novel Advent won the 2022 Society of Authors' Paul Torday Memorial Prize.

The event will take place on Thursday, 20 October, 7.30 pm at the Turner Gallery in Penarth. Tickets are £7.50 and can be bought from: www.ticketsource.co.uk/griffinbooks or through the shop on 02920 706455 / [email protected].
