Lovers of light opera will be in for a treat at the Kymin this week when award-winning outdoor theatre company Illyria bring Gilbert & Sullivan's 'The Pirates of Penzance' to the Kymin Gardens.

However, they will also be keeping their fingers crossed for good weather! The outdoor show, on Thursday, 25 August, at the Kymin on Beach Road, Penarth, will run from 7 to 9.30pm (doors open 6pm) and there is no shelter if wet.

Full terms of admission can be found via this link, where you can also book tickets, which cost £18 for adults and £12 for children under 12 - booking fees apply.

The Pirates of Penzance is one of Gilbert & Sullivan's most popular pieces and is packed-full of memorable songs such as To be a Pirate King!, Modern Major General and A Policeman's Lot is Not a Happy One.
