WORKERS were spotted this morning installing a CCTV camera on the large pole that recently appeared outside the Kymin.

The camera is thought to be unrelated to the nearby "New Road Layout Ahead" sign that arrived last week.

According to Vale of Glamorgan Councillor and Cabinet Member for Transport and Neighbourhood Services Peter King, its purpose is to end criminal behaviour on the Kymin grounds.

"We are aware of various anti-social problems on the Kymin grounds," he told Nub News.

"Needles have been found there and the CCTV has been installed to deter that sort of behaviour."

Nub News today discovered graffiti and what appears to be drug paraphernalia (not including needles) at the site.

A camera had previously been affixed to the smaller building towards the rear of the grounds.

Cllr King was keen to emphasise that the Kymin is not his domain. We are awaiting a more official statement from the Vale of Glamorgan Council.
