A SPECIAL charity fundraising event has been organised in Penarth in December to remember a youngster who lost his battle with cancer.
In April this year Jude Cantley passed away, aged just four, following a very courageous battle with cancer.
In August 2022 Jude was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. Jude and his family spent sis months in hospital, in Cardiff and Bristol whilst he underwent treatment and a bone marrow transplant. In January 2023 Jude was finally able to start attending nursery which he loved. During this time his parents, Emily and Ian, along with big brother Sebastian started gaining some normality.
However, in February 2024 something didn't seem right, Jude's family were given the devastating news that his cancer had returned.
And on April 21 this year, he passed away.
Penarth Masonic Hall is to host a market in Jude's name to raise money for @latchwales the amazing children's cancer charity that supported Jude and continues to support his incredible family.
All funds raised on the night through entrance fees, raffle prizes and trader fees will be donated to @latchwales and @cerebralpalsycymru who also do amazing work helping children and their families. £1 entry fee.
The event will take place on Tuesday, 9 December from 5- to 8pm at Penarth Masonic Hall.
