Griffin Books in Penarth will be holding an event tomorrow (June 7) with The Sunday Times bestselling author, Barbara Erskine.

Barbara will be travelling to Penarth from her home in Hay-On-Wye in Powys to celebrate her latest novel, The Dream Weavers.

The novel is based in the year 775AD, the Saxon halls of Mercia play host to a stirring tale of forbidden love while, in the present day, dreams and visions threaten to unearth a mystery that has lain buried in the Welsh hills for a thousand years.

Elin Davies, the events and communications lead at Griffin Books, told Penarth Nub News: "We're delighted to host such a household name.

"We count ourselves lucky to have such a popular author living close by in Hay-On-Wye, and can't wait to hear all about The Dream Weavers, especially as it's set partially in Wales.

"This is the perfect event for any fan of historical fiction and the mysterious history of ancient Wales."

The event will take place at Waterloo Tea on Stanwell Road and will start at 19:30.
