Griffin Books launched the first of their live storytelling sessions on Tuesday and it got off to a flying start.

Hollie, who works for the popular local bookshop, said to live listeners: ''We have really missed seeing you in the shop over the past week, all of our regular story timers and those that just pop in to say hello.

''We hope you are all staying safe and staying home.

''My name is Hollie and I work at Griffin Books. You will be seeing me and my colleague, Kate, over the next few weeks.

''Thank you to authors and publishers who are allowing us to read their books out online. ''

The Worrysauras was the first book that Hollie read out to viewers on Instagram Live which was then followed up by Mr Pusskins with Kate today.

Storyteller attendees could respond to the readers live and join in with some small tasks after the book was finished.

The sessions will take place at 10:30 am on the Griffin Books page.
