An eight-year-old girl was rescued by Penarth firefighters over the weekend after becoming trapped in her own bathroom.

Lana waited for the South Wales Fire and Rescue service to help her escape with the use of "small tools" and removing the door.

Firefighters also installed heat detectors and smoke alarms at the property.
