Evie, aged 4, is running 20km over 20 days to raise money for the Noah's Ark Children's Hospital.

The distance has been chosen as this is how long it would take Evie to run from her house in Penarth to the hospital.

Her mother, Danielle, who has organised the fundraiser updated Evie's followers yesterday.

She said: ''Day 16 Complete. Evie has raised £1890 for Noah's Ark Charity so far. Thank you to everyone who has donated and supported Evie, we are so proud of her. It would be amazing to get her over the £2000 barrier.''

The Go Fund Me Page explains: ''Her brother Evan, who is 5 months old, was treated in the assessment unit and on Island Ward when he was a few weeks old.

''She would like to say thank you and help them through these difficult times.

''They do not receive support from NHS charities together or the Government funding currently available. Please donate what you can to help them support children and families in need.''

She is currently on her 16th day out of 20 and has been providing regular updates on her progress which can be found at the Go Fund Me page.

You can donate to Evie's fantastic cause here.
