There are lots of fossils on Penarth Beach - but do you know what to look for?

Join the South Wales Geologists Association (SWGA) on the beach this coming Saturday, August 13 between 11:00 and 15:00.

Professionals will be on hand to show you what fossils are found in this area and tell you more about the prehistoric deserts, oceans and even dinosaurs that existed here over 200 million years ago.

The SWGA will be on the beach beyond the lifeboat station - look out for their gazebo.

Turn up anytime and leave when you want. Be sure to bring your own refreshments and drinking water.

Hammers are unnecessary, but you might want a strong plastic bag to carry away your finds!
