Dinas Powy community councillors recently met with representatives of the Flood Action Group to discuss the recent flood alerts.

Some of the key points raised in the meeting with group members Andy Bowdler and Wendy Gilligan were that help is needed to support the organisation of any emergency response and the availability of more 4x4 vehicles is vital

It was agreed there is a need to identify the vulnerable, for street plans, that far more flood wardens required, additional training is required and communication must be improved

Anyone interested in helping the group is invited to contact the community council on 02920 513114 or email [email protected]

The community council expressed its gratitude to the Flood Action Group for their work for the community.
