A flood alert has been issued for areas surrounding Sully and Dinas Powys by Natural Resources Wales.

The flood alert is the first of three possible alert levels issued by Natural Resources Wales. The warning covers smaller, community-level areas where flooding of properties from rivers or the sea is expected.

Alerts cover large areas where flooding is possible from rivers or the sea.

This alert comes as heavy rainfall has increased the water levels of the Cadoxton River.
