Dinas Powys Library and Activity Centre held its first public event since the first lockdown. The plant sale was held in the open air with a huge range of both veg and bedding on offer.
Bethesda Chapel was very supportive, allowing the use of its car park. A sense of normality and community spirit was felt by all.
Library Chair Chris Franks said, "We had great support from library users and volunteers. Member of the public were very pleased to pay a visit.
"We were blessed with good weather between days of storms.
"This was a wonderful opportunity to socialise safely. We hope that we can further open the library as restrictions are relaxed," he continued.
"A big thank you to all who supplied the plants, helped on the day and to those who made a cash donation. Unsold plants have been given to St Athan Community Library who are having a fund raiser on Saturday although there was not much left!"
