Fireworks spectacular - ticket sales are now open

By Nub News Reporter 10th Oct 2024

Tickets go on sale today (Thursday, 10 October) for one of Penarth's biggest fireworks displays.

The display at Penarth Lawn Tennis Club is always a sell-out event as families from across the area congregate at the town centre club.

This year over 1,000 Penarthians will enjoy fireworks and a bonfire, along with food and sweet stalls and the club bar.

"Most of the tickets have already been sold to our 600 members but we have some left so members of the public can enjoy the event," said organiser Al Cozens.

"It's always a brilliant event where the community comes together to enjoy the bonfire, tonfire he fireworks and the rest of the entertainment."

The family event will see The Welsh Italian Pizza Company back at the club serving loaded nachos, toasties and hot dogs as well as Pizza. There will also be a hog roast courtesy of Lushy's, and a hot drinks stall.

The club, which has already raised thousands of pounds for its charity the Motor Neurone Disease Association, aims to add to the total with a mulled wine and warm cider stall.

The PLTC bar and sweet stall will be open as usual.

Gates open on the night at 5.30pm with the fireworks at around 7.30pm. The bonfire will be lit after the fireworks show.

Tickets cost £10 for adults and £6 for under-16s. Children aged three or under are free – but need to register for a ticket. Click on this link.
