WORK on the renovation of a Penarth play area is to start earlier than expected.

Vale of Glamorgan Council have announced that upgrades to the St David's Play Area in Penarth will start next week.

The works, part of an ongoing program of play area upgrades across the Vale, are kicking off a week earlier than planned, and will take five to seven weeks to complete.
