Shutterhire, a local photographer based in Dinas Powys, will be taking to the streets to capture local residents during lockdown whilst raising money for charity at the same time.

Katrina Dimech said: ''This is a personal project and donations are welcome but not compulsory.

''All money will be given to a good cause and I am pleased to announce that my chosen charity is ARC - Anna's Rescue Centre.''

ARC is a cat rescue centre situated in Cardiff. They rescue, rehabilitate and rehome stray, homeless and unwanted cats and kittens into loving forever homes.

They said: ''What an absolutely amazing idea! You are truly fabulous and thank you so much for supporting us.

''Penarth families get in touch with this lady, she is a treasure! Capturing the memories when we stayed together, but also apart.''

Katrina explained the idea on her Facebook page. She said: ''It's time for me to dust off my camera and document this moment in history.

''I will be offering photoshoots for PENARTH families (to be extended to Dinas Powys, Sully and Barry at a later date)

''The purpose? To capture you and/or your family members that you're isolating with - this can include pets.

''These images will be raw and true, they will reflect these strange times. If you'd like to show off your new COVID-19 hairstyle or your recent pyjama purchase... or maybe you'd just like to take some time out of your day to create some memories, please register your interest.

''The sessions will take place Friday 15th May. Social distancing will be observed. Sessions will take no longer than 15 minutes.''
