Council seeks new Enforcement Officers in Penarth and across the Vale

Vale of Glamorgan Council is recruiting Enforcement Officers from across the county to join its growing team.  

Successful applicants will join the council's developing Enforcement Team within Neighbourhood Services and Transport and will be expected to work flexible hours, over seven days a week including bank holidays. 

An Enforcement Officer will help with enforcing parking restrictions and other areas including dog fouling, littering, fly-tipping, public space protection orders and bye-laws. 

To be considered for the role, applicants will need experience working with a diverse range of people, a practical attitude for dealing with complaints, the ability to deal with conflict situations and to remain calm in challenging situations, and possess strong observational skills with the ability to record information accurately.  

The annual salary is set at £23,484 - £25,927.
