Cosmeston Fairy Doors Damaged and Vandalised

Fairy Doors in Cosmeston have been ripped down and vandalised in Cosmeston woods much to the dismay of local residents and the creators of the local activity.

The fairy doors which popped up in a woodland area in Cosmeston County Park have provided children, families and adults alike the opportunity to hunt down these magical doorways.

Luckily, some managed to survive the damage but many had been pulled off and ripped.

We have put up some pictures of the destruction above and anyone with any information is encouraged to come forward.

The organisers, who now have a Facebook page up and running, found out the news this morning.

Those planning to go down and visit the attraction are encouraged to take their own doors down and secure them. If you message the page the organisers will also varnish them so that they can survive the Welsh elements.

We hope we can encourage local residents to go back to the woods and add their own art to keep the fairy door trail alive.
