Cosmeston Park appears busy today as the car park was open for visitors.

It comes as the Welsh Government announced the easing of some lockdown restrictions on Friday, reducing the 'stay home' message to 'stay local'.

First Minister Mark Drakeford described local as five miles from home.

He told BBC Breakfast on Friday: "The rule of thumb that we used last year, and people became very used to, was that you think local as a five-mile radius from where you are.

"If you live in more dispersed or rural communities then people an exercise judgement in their own circumstances and can go a little bit further."

The rules have also changed to allow up to four people from two different households to meet outdoors, including in gardens.

The Vale of Glamorgan Council urged everyone to celebrate safely this Mothering Sunday by remaining two metres apart from members of different households.
